Diamonds Rock

Jewelry.com, 02/18/08

Jewelry.com reports on the stars, their styles and their diamond jewels that were rocking the red-carpet and the audience at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards.

Diamonds were hitting all the right notes at the 50th Annual Grammy bash. The stars were mostly in a chorus of razzle-dazzle, with jewels dotting the ears, ringing the wrists but letting the necks go solo. Diamond trends of the evening were bold diamond studs and diamond drop earrings, stunning diamond cuffs and bracelets. Even the guys were getting in on the act with diamond dress pins and diamond buttons aka Jay-Z.

Showcasing the evening's best all-diamond looks were Beyonce and Rihanna. Ms Knowles loves her bling and this night was no exception. She turned to her fave jewelers, Lorraine Schwartz for some brilliant diamond chandelier earrings, a bold diamond duff, and a diamond right hand ring.

Rihanna was in need of a mighty big umbrella to keep her ice dry. It was over to famed jewelers Chopard for her 'big is beautiful' diamond look. She wore a 27-carat diamond barrel cuff, huge diamond stud earrings, and So Happy diamond right hand ring by Chopard.

Alicia Keys went with one of the top trends in town with a stunning pair Diamond In The Rough earrings by Sodwana Rough Diamond.

Fashion-wise, it seems like rockers are rocking with rocks - clothes were elegant and classic with most choosing floor-length gowns, solid colors and a smattering of jeweled sheaths and metallics. The rebel yell of pop-stars may be alive and kicking - but not on this red carpet.
